Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-28 · applies to https://ieknowledgebase.nidhy.dev/ and the pages under it
In one paragraph. This is a static site. It has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. The only things it stores are your own reading progress, learning-path choices and theme, in your own browser, and they never leave your device. The hosting and content-delivery services it is built on see your IP address the way any website does.

Who runs this site

The IE Knowledgebase is a free, open-source collection of courses on industrial engineering, maintained by its contributors and published from the crackcode09/ie-knowledgebase repository. There is no company behind it and nothing is sold here.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. The site has:

We do not see who visits. We cannot link a visit to a person.

Browser storage

The site keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local storage so the page remembers you between visits:

KeyWhat it holds
iekb-doneWhich courses you have ticked as done
iekb-modsWhich modules you have ticked as done
iekb-themeLight or dark theme, if you changed it
iekb-trackWhich learning track you picked on the learning path
iekb-pmodeWhether the learning path follows a track or fits your time

This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not shared between your devices. The reset button in the catalog header clears your course and module progress; clearing site data in your browser removes all of it. The site works without it; if storage is blocked, progress is simply not remembered.

Third-party services

Like almost every website, these pages are delivered by services that process your IP address and standard request details (browser type, page requested, time) in order to serve the files. We do not receive that information from them.

Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the site, processes visitor IP addresses and may keep them in its logs for security and to keep the service running; those logs belong to Cloudflare and are not available to us. Cloudflare's dashboard shows the site's maintainer aggregate traffic totals (requests, data served, countries) that do not identify anyone. We do not turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics.

If you take part on GitHub

If you open an issue, start a discussion or submit a pull request, you do so on GitHub under your GitHub account and GitHub's own terms. Whatever you post there is public, as is the usual case for an open-source project. We do not collect it separately.

Children

The courses are written for working professionals and students. Because the site collects no personal data, there is nothing to collect from anyone of any age.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal data an organisation holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete on our side. For the data in your browser, you are in control: use the reset button or your browser's site-data settings.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever adds anything that would change the picture above, for example analytics or a way to sign in, this page will be updated first and the effective date at the top will change. The full edit history is public in the repository.
